Community Programs

Teachers of Students with Visual Impairments provide specialized instruction that helps students succeed in school, but there are some things that simply don’t fit into a school day.

Working alongside schools, families, churches, and community partners, Path of Light Foundation creates opportunities for students to build the skills that lead to greater confidence and independence.

These experiences are part of the Expanded Core Curriculum (ECC)—the practical life skills that help blind and visually impaired students prepare not just for school, but for life.

We don’t replace schools. We don’t replace families. We don’t replace Teachers of Students with Visual Impairments.

We come alongside them—helping fill the gaps by creating opportunities that lead to greater confidence, independence, and possibility.

Our goal is simple: to help every blind and visually impaired student become as independent as possible while discovering the gifts and purposes God has placed within them.

Path of Light Foundation is a Kansas nonprofit organization dedicated to providing support and services for students who are blind and visually impaired in Wichita and surrounding areas.
